What happens to a puddle?

Room 7 went to Te Manawa a couple of days ago. First at Te Manawa Room 7 went outside and poured some water on the concrete. Next we went inside and did some water experiments. Later we went outside and most of the puddles had evaporated. Two of the puddles hadn't because they were in the shade. Last we said goodbye to Anne and we went back to school.

The Easter Fair

The school council run an Easter Fair at the end of Term 1 every year. All the classes make things to sell or run activities for us to do. There are always lots of prizes too. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. Have a look at some of the things we could do.

Elephants with Diversity

My elephant’s name is Choice. Choice lives at the park. Choice likes to help the Easter Bunny. One of Choice’s adventures was when he ate one of the Easter eggs. He turned colourful like a butterfly. He flapped his wings and off he flew. CW

Rumblephant can walk on a tightrope. He helps Santa and he delivers Easter eggs. He does the chicken dance. When you get to the part where you have to flap your wings he flaps his ears instead. My elephant lives in my house with my dog. My elephant sleeps on my bed. He is a mischief-maker. When he comes o school he writes on the whiteboard. I still love him though – but he does eat my lunch! GE

“Hey I am Aidaphant the elephant. I’m going to visit the dinosaurs today. All of the dinos are bigger than me. When I see a T.Rex coming I will climb a tree and fly with a Pterodactyle. At night I will creep into a pond, go to the bottom and sleep. Sometimes when it’s Easter I’ll be the Easter Elephant!” AB

Our Diverse Elephants

We didn't know what we were making. We had to create patterns on each of the shapes and when we had done them we cut them out.Then the tricky bit began. We had to make the puzzle without any clues. Then Gemma thought the square bits might be feet. She was right. Finally we made our elephants. They represent diversity.
